A career in Recruitment is a very exciting, challenging and rewarding option for talented Graduates.

To be successful in recruiting, you have to care about peoples’ careers. You have to be fully invested in the candidates and companies you deal with. Which means caring about a candidates job satisfaction, personal issues, and career advancement along with understanding the needs of your clients.

Knowledge: It is the key to success! Good recruiters will always be expanding their knowledge-base and connections.

Self-starter: In recruiting, no-one’s going to stand over your shoulder or hold your hand while you make phone calls. You need to call the clients and candidates, push for interviews and negotiate rates and salaries. Common sense and a keen eye for detail are also essential. If you have anxiety over talking to strangers or thinking on your feet, recruiting might not be for you.

Investigate: Recruiters need to be able to probe, explore and scrutinise. Getting information from clients and candidates, which enables them to qualify requirements and the suitability of candidates is essential.

Good Communicator: Are you persuasive? Do you know how to say the right thing at the right time? Better yet – do you know how to listen? Recruiting isn’t about finding any old candidate off the street and getting them to sign on the dotted line, it’s about finding the right candidate for the right job. Your decision making process will be largely guided by the questions you ask and the answers you receive.

Results Driven: Self-motivation is a fundamental quality in a good recruiter. You need to want to get results and selling gets results. If you like the idea of influencing your own career and earnings Recruitment could be the Graduate career for you!

Recruitment Consultant Career

Recruitment Consultants are ‘client’ focussed sales people. The role requires calling warm and cold clients to generate vacancies to work. Relationship building and business development are crucial elements to this role. The perfect candidate for this role will:

• Be highly motivated

• Be stress resilient, goal-oriented and efficient

• Have an excellent telephone manner

• Be career focussed

• Be customer focused with an analytical mind to deliver a quality service

Once you are an established consultant the career opportunities are limitless and consultants can progress to Senior consultant, Lead Consultant and Management roles quickly based on their success.

Recruitment Resourcer Career

Resourcers are ‘candidate’ focussed sales people. The role requires calling candidates and qualifying them against live roles with our clients. The ability to identify quality, genuine and relevant candidates is essential. You are also required to generate new candidates using tools like Linked-in and job boards. The perfect candidate for this role will:

• Be competitive and ambitious in nature

• Be highly motivated

• Be stress resilient, goal-oriented and efficient

• Have an excellent telephone manner

• Be career focussed

• Be customer focused with an analytical mind to deliver a quality service

Once you have established yourself as a proven Resourcer the career opportunities are limitless and Resourcers can progress to Senior Resourcer, Lead Resourcer and Management roles quickly based on their success.

Training and Development

At Blueprint we firmly believe in training and developing all of our staff. We provide one-to-one training with our highly experienced recruiters along with external training where necessary. Mentoring is also a major part of our internal development programme.

As members of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) we adhere to industry standards and processes.
